Southside Juice & Java owes its origins to students Rochelle Hunter, Erica Basset, and Caili Nance, who came up in 2005 with an idea for a business project assignment in Marilyn Cooley's "Marketing" class.

Started in 2005, Southside has since become a successful student-run enterprise, employing over 100 students in the past two years.
